Here is a great activity to introduce the basics of acids and bases. Students will identify the name and formulas of acids and bases, define the terms acid and alkali, determine the color change of indicators in acidic and alkaline solutions. In addition, students will give the name of the salt produced in neutralization reactions and balance neutralization equations by finding the missing number of atoms. There are TWO (2) different self-grading activities. Each has 16 questions and is available in Google Sheets and a printable PDF. A word bank and answer key are included.
