Here's an activity to accompany your unit on smoking. There are TWO different activities; each has ten (10) questions. Activity 1 -- Students review the three main chemicals in cigarette smoke (tar, nicotine, carbon monoxide) and their effects on the body. Activity 2 -- Students look at the complications of smoking during pregnancy. Complications include stillbirth, miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, placental abruption, SIDS, low birth weight, cleft lip, and premature birth. The activity is available in digital and print formats. The digital version is a self-grading Google Sheets, and a word bank is included to help students. An answer key is also included.
