In this activity, students will calculate electric bills (utility bills). The students will determine the number of kilowatt-hours used, the cost of KWH used at different rates, calculate discounts, late fees, and fuel surcharges. In addition, students will also calculate the cost to run appliances given the power rating, time used, and rate per KWH. The activity is self-checking. Correct answers will turn green and incorrect answers will turn red. Available in Google Sheets and an editable PDF. An answer key is included.
